Unhopped Malt Concentrate

Coopers Unhopped Malt Extracts are produced at the Coopers Brewery using only low-nitrogen 2-row barley. This barley is malted at Coopers' own malting facility, Adelaide Malting Company (see specifications for malt used in the production of Coopers Homebrewing Products). The malted barley is mashed, sparged and boiled in the brewery using the same techniques and controls used in producing world famous Coopers Ales. The resulting wort is first filtered, using a centrifuge process, and then gently vacuum boiled to the consistency of light honey. This filtering and evaporation process insures that the color and clarity of Coopers Unhopped Malt Extract is superior to any other malt extract. This entire process is overseen by Coopers' three Master Brewers. Coopers Unhopped Malt Extracts are the only malt extracts in the world produced by an operating brewery.
