| Cascadia Importers was formed in July of 1997 by Tom Heffernan and Mark Henry. Coopers homebrewing products have long been favorites of Tom and Mark. When the opportunity arose to combine their love of homebrewing with importing and promoting their favorite homebrewing products, they did not hesitate. According to Mark, “I’ve always believed that Coopers Brewery produces the finest malt extract in the world. When I started homebrewing 15 years ago, I never thought I would someday be helpful in bringing these products to North American homebrewers!” | |
| Mark Henry is a noted authority on homebrewing and experienced consumer products marketer. Six years ago he started Evergreen Brewing Supply in Bellevue, Washington, USA. Before turning his attentions to the homebrewing industry, he spent 10 years developing and implementing retail marketing/merchandising programs for Philip Morris USA, the largest consumer products company in the world. Mark is the author of a book on homebrewing and has authored numerous articles for homebrewing publications. He is a BJCP-Certified Judge, and has won numerous awards for his homebrewed beers. His homebrewing is truly a family affair, with his daughter Rachel responsible for yelling “boilover!” at the appropriate time. He is the Marketing and Sales Director for Cascadia Importers. He is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans and developing and maintaining a sales team. |  |
| Tom Heffernan is a financial manager and experienced homebrewing products importer. For three years he worked as the controller and salesperson for an import company. He was responsible for initiating many of the programs which developed business in North America.Before working in the homebrewing industry, Tom worked for Ernst & Young, LLP and was an owner of a software development company. He has also worked for Microsoft. He is an avid homebrewer who knows what the consumer wants, and how to get it to him. His latest triumph? Brewing a strong ale stylistically similar to Pyramid Brewery’s “SnowCap” Ale. Tom is Cascadia Importers’ Accountant and Business Manager. He is responsible for conducting Cascadia Importers’ daily operations. |  |
